Description:

Our client is looking for a Project Manager to sit out of the Nanaimo office and support projects throughout BC. The Project Manager oversees overall projects from project award to successful completion, with a special emphasis on safety performance. Critical job elements include safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, risk management, subcontractors, suppliers, proposals, estimates, documentation turnover, client relations / management, field staff supervision and other duties required to execute projects. This position could include both long and short-term remote field assignments, as determined by specified projects and the location of those projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to manage by schedule.
• MS Projects
• Must be an administrative project manager – boots on the ground is beneficial but this is more administrative than the typical PM role
• Accountability to make the project happen
• Experience Handle change orders
• LUMP SUM experience
• Read contracts and administrate contracts
• GC experience
• Passionate about the projects, takes pride in the work that they’re doing
